Crystal Saint was an anime-only character of unknown rank and constellation who served as Cygnus Hyōga and Kraken Isaac's master as well as Aquarius Camus' student.
A very honorable and righteous Saint, Crystal Saint was considered a threat by Pope Arles, who forced him into his control with the Genrō Maō Ken technique. After an emotional battle with Hyōga, Crystal Saint took his own life to stop Sanctuary from conquering East Siberia.
After his death, he was gradually replaced in the anime adaptation by Camus as Hyōga's master and any events concerning him were disregarded in the continuity to stay true to Kurumada's manga.
He was voiced by Michihiro Ikemizu, who also voiced Black Phoenix
Physical appearance
Crystal Saint was a well-built man with fair skin, light pink hair with white strands and green eyes. While wearing his Cloth, he wore a blue sleeved outfit that covered his entire body.
Personality
Crystal Saint was a very kind Saint, who saw great potential in both his students. While he could be strict, Crystal Saint was very honorable and upheld the duties and importance of being a Saint. He despised both Gigas and Phaeton due to their cruel ways of training and ways to uphold order in the Sanctuary.
When he was brainwashed by Pope Arles, Crystal Saint turned into a bloodthirsty demon whose only goal was to kill Hyōga, laughing viciously during their encounter. In his last dying moments, after being beaten out of his state, Crystal Saint showed true courage, willing to lay down his life in order to ensure the safety of others.
